Working on various machines from Small fast paced CNC Lathes, Lynx 220 (Fanuc) up to larger Multi Axis Turning Centres 2600SY, 400LM and vertical experience 900,1100,1620 vt (Fanuc). During my apprenticeship I focused all time on the Lynx 220, this has made me very aware of the system and knowing nearly the full functionality of the machine, I later moved onto slightly larger machines with more capability such as the EZ Guide system that was on the higher end machines, longer beds, milling and even Sub-Spindle.

When at Rolls-Royce North East Training Centre I completed my first year of my Apprenticeship in Engineering. Gaining my BTEC Level 2 Diploma of Grade - Merit. Furthering this with my BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma of Grade - Distinction* later completing this full course to achieve the grade Double Distinction. Also at the training centre I achieved a PEO.The main course content I studied during my time at the centre included;Manual Machining (Lathe and Milling),Computer numerical control (CNC),Computer aided design (CAD),Sheet metal working,Health & safety,Quality assurance,Identifying and selecting engineering materials,Personal development for working with others,Using and communicating technical information,Using Bench fitting skills.
