- Security uplift of the platform in AWS including introduction of WAF firewall, running threat modelling assessments, vulnerability management tooling (AWS Inspector, AWS Guardduty ,AWS config and Synk code scanning), stricter IAM policies, Splunk SIEM, VPC networking improvements and fixing scanned vulnerabilities findings from AWS Security Hub.- Built a CI/CD pipeline using aws codebuild and codepipeline to automate the deployment of application stack updates to testing and production environments. This reduced deployment times by 50% and resulted in less downtime for customers.- Tech led the work to integrate the company platform with a hospital EMR system, including setting up of a site to site VPN between cloud and on-prem networks and configuring AWS infrastructure to host an integration engine.- Tech led development of a new feature to allow data request and approval steps for sharing genomic data between labs. This made use of AWS services DynamoDB, Lambda, step functions and S3.- Tech led the delivery of new user administration and user auditing pages for the customer web portals using React JS and Flask.

- Re-engineered key server-side infrastructure using nginx to load balance web traffic between multiple docker containers, resulting in a 30% improvement in load time performance on companies main front-end application. This included developing ansible scripts to automate deployment and scaling of capacity.- Built a new web mapping service backend to serve geospatial data to front-end mapping applications using python mapscript.- Built a data processing pipeline using Django and Celery to ingest large amounts of satellite data, process and delivery to customer ftp. - Created CICD pipelines using Gitlab CI automate building of django application, running unittests and deploying to staging environment
