Employed as a core crew mechanical technician onboard the Mariner A project during the hook up and commissioning (HUC) phase . Assisted in the construction and commissioning of all mechanical packages within power generation, HVAC, production and utility systems up until handover to operations. Once the platform went operational, I was responsible for mechanical maintenance along with the mechanical team.

I was required to interpret specifications and technical requirements; prepare method statements and onsite risk assessments aswell as attending technical meeting on site and at customer’s premises. This entails as above aswell as hydraulic bolt tensioning, hydraulic torque tightening, combustor inspection and overhaul including removal and installation of burners and lances, installation of combustion tiles and seals and compressor work. Played minor roles on generator work as and when needed including assisting In the removal and insertion of rotors, removal and insertion of cooler assemblies, stator inspection and refurb, removal of end bells and slip rings, removal and assembly of end shields and hydrogen seals and excitation.
