First and foremost, I love solving problems. I especially love doing it utilizing modern technology. Luckily for me there are no shortages of operational challenges as companies of all sizes continue to scale. I’m a highly driven IT professional with almost 15 years of experience. While managing teams, I still like to be hands-on, as I really can’t go a day without taking a ticket off the Helpdesk, writing code to automate pulling data out of something, cleaning it up, and putting it somewhere else, or working with executives to better develop operational plans. I’m just as comfortable talking in a board meeting or with an external customer as I am writing code or spinning up a server. I foster a culture of customer service and professional growth in the teams that I manage, as these same things are very important to myself. Over my career I’ve found that I excel at creating and tweaking operational workflows to maximize output. I started out my career working in a hospital laboratory, which has given me a unique perspective on how to better automate data processes and to be more efficient in the ever-changing landscape of healthcare technology. There is no better feeling than taking a very manual, repetitive process and automating it with 20 lines or less of code!
