The major responsibilities include: leading and managing the academic support team and contributing to the College-wide development of academic support resources; providing effective academic skills assessment and support in the areas of college reading and writing, quantitative skills, information- and digital literacy, critical thinking, time-management and study skills; developing and disseminating innovative approaches to academic support in an online environment; assessing program effectiveness to inform program improvement. The Director of Academic Support works closely with faculty in identifying and providing academic support services and resources for our online learners. This individual also works directly with students on academic support issues and oversees an award winning peer mentor and course assistant program.
