Burgess Hill

A part time marketing assistant for a logistics and courier services provider. My main roles include researching into potential clients, creating contacts and updating data in SAGE Act database and creating marketing campaigns towards event attendees. Watching campaign evaluations and passing on the interested potential clients onto the Sales team.

Greenwich

The recruitment, training and the supervision of 100 volunteers for 9 days, providing front of house and artist liaison volunteers for the outdoor festival over the 7 venues. The role gave me stong communication skills for recruiting, training & organsiaing vovolunters, admin skills, team work and leadership. The job involved complex scheduling and the management of multiple sites at any one time. When attempting the role for the second year I was a able to improve on experience I gained the previous year, I was able to introduce Employee Volunteering Days which Nationwide were involved with and worked with the communities to get volunteers from the local area, which I managed to make a partnership with Eltham College and getting 6th formers involved. I also introduced a online scheduling system which reduced volunteer dropouts by about half. My budget has also dropped by 1500 by giving volunteers an option of different amounts. I am now working on recruiting 100 volunteer dancers both disabled and non disabled to perform at the Heritage Flame Ceremony which will feature in the Paralympic Opening Ceremony for Rio 2016.

Petworth

At Petworth I have been supporting the Volunteer team of over 440 volunteers, this varied role has included; daily admin of scheduling volunteers, communicating with volunteers & staff and inputting expenses. My main focus has been on recruitment of volunteers from looking at getting people to volunteer through employee volunteering, and community group involvement. Each volunteer I have recruited has been interviewed, inductioned and passed on to the correct team. This role has needed a lot of communication to work as a link between volunteer and department teams.

Greenwich

The role needed me to have strong communication for recruiting, training & organising volunters, admin skills, team work and leadership. The job involved complex scheduling and the management of multiple sites at any one time. To give the volunteer a great experience it was important to manage; motivation, the roles they took part in, developing a team of leaders and meeting the needs of the volunteer.

Nationwide

Events with flair have included;Mens Health, Leatherhead Triathlon, Leatherhead Duathlon, Dirty Dozen, Dogs Unite, Trailblazer Series, Tough Mudder 2013 & 2014, J.P Morgan and South of England Show. Roles included: crowd control steward, cash handling, event build, programmer seller, looking after safety & security of all attendees, providing motivation to participants and assisting in incidents .

Secc Glasgow

Coordinating radio communication for the SECC complex during the games; managing a team of volunteers to monitor 15 radio channels and liaising with the venue management team for the thousands of staff to be able to communicate with each other. The communication centre worked as a call centre managing incidents, resolving queries by providing timely and accurate information and assisting in the coordinating staff on the ground. As the supervisor I trained and co-ordinated volunteers and staff, undertook administration work, worked closely with the entire venue management team and coordinated incident procedures.

Duties included; crowd control, ticketing, looking after performer & guest safety, giving excellent customer service, providing information to guests and liaising with police, venue management & other security. (Events included Open Golf Tournament, Olympic Torch Relay, Madonna and Elton John Concerts)
