Currently working offshore (North Sea) on the BP Clair Ridge Hook UP project as a Mechanical Supervisor. Working both individually and as part of a team, liaising with other disciplines and sub-contractors when required to complete tasks.Duties include:• Responsible for mechanical construction activities through the contractors supervision in respect of HSE, method, working practices, quality and timely execution of the works• To be fully familiar with the assigned scope of work and with existing facilities, other projects and disciplines• To be fully familiar with HSE requirements and procedures• Ensure that hazards and risks are fully considered by designers and contractors and that appropriate mitigation actions are implemented and appropriate action taken• To be fully familiar with the methods of construction, schedule and procedure• Initiate and manage the project continuous improvement processes• Monitors progress and performance of the team to ensure that he performs to the approved schedule, specification and standards• Review look ahead schedules & ensure future work I discipline / interface issues are communicated and resolved• Monitor site activities for potential contractual / claims problems• Maintain records of site activities and check Contractor records for accuracy• Carry out inspection, surveillance witnessing of the teams activities, ensuring records are maintained, including as-built data Prepare and endorse daily progress report and time sheets detailing the work progress, number of contractor personnel and equipment available on site and other related items identified in the scope of work

Working both individually and as part of a team, liaising with other disciplines and sub-contractors when required to complete tasks.Duties include:• Mechanical activities on platform systems, sub systems and equipment including; planning ,pre commissioning, commissioning, all static and rotating equipment including line walks, pump alignments, pump load runs, red line mark ups, charging accumulators, vessel inspections, assist vendors and cranes. Carry out duties as a performing authority for BP

Maintenance and operational support team based in Middlesbrough.My duties are mechanical, maintenance and engineering aspects of all work that is involved around a busy port. The equipment I have worked on and are very familiar with are ship to shore gantry cranes, road tyre gantry cranes, mobile harbour cranes, pumps, couplings, heavy turning gear, hoists and lifting equipment, valves, seals, compressors, diesel engines and power generation units. my main duties as a mechanical technician are: • complete scheduled maintenance activities as per the maintenance management system using the company standards and procedures, minimising impact on production and maximising plant availability.• carry out maintenance and all duties involved with pump installation, valve installation, alignment checks and equipment installation.• maintenance, inspection and testing of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, power generation systems, diesel engines, pumps, compressors, seals and valves, lifting equipment, hoists, winches and heavy turning gear.• Engage with other disciplines to bring equipment online and into service.• Reading and understanding schematic drawings of hydraulics. Prior to any work being carried out I would comply to Tool Box Talks, Permit to Work (ISSOW), Stop card systems, Health and Safety and COSHH regulations.

Offshore

Undertake crane daily, weekly, monthly, three monthly and six monthly planned maintenance routines.Complete crane pre-start checks and maintain cabs, machinery houses and external surfaces in a clean, tidy and watertight condition.Some of the typical jobs i undertake working offshore for sparrows are rope change outs, engine rebuilds and change outs, winch and rope drum change outs, planned maintenance and remedial task repairs.
