Currently in my second year of an electrical engineering apprenticeship, I am immersed in a dynamic learning environment where I am acquiring essential skills and knowledge to excel in the field. Through a combination of theoretical coursework and hands-on training, I am gaining an understanding of electrical principles, circuitry, and systems whilst also working closely with experienced engineers at DataVita. I am involved in various tasks aimed at maintaining and optimising the data centres equipment and systems along with installation projects for customers.After spending nearly four years working for a windows and doors manufacturer, I developed a strong foundation in the manufacturing processes and gained valuable hands-on experience in the production of windows and doors. My role involved various tasks such as assembly, quality control and machine operation, which sharpened my attention to detail and problem-solving skills. I was also responsible for ordering supplies and hardware for the factory. This involved regular inventory audits, identifying obsolete or surplus items, and implementing strategies to reduce excess inventory while maintaining adequate stock levels to meet production requirements.
