Working to establish a business selling Digital Signage solutions. Responsible for all aspects of the software solution that will be sold to customers. Specifically making decisions on signage software and client / server operating systems for our platform. As part of the role to date I have been required to setup the company website, setup and administer a LAMP server, create a shell script to automate client setup as well as maintain the open source software used for our signage, incorporating our modifications.

Having worked for MAB at The Plough for several years gaining experience working in a pub, both front and back of house, I transferred to the Horse and Jockey in Spring 2016 as a Shift Supervisor and was promoted to Assistant Manager when the existing AM resigned, I stepped down from the AM position in 2017 as an opportunity arose for me to move back into IT. Since then I have continued to work at The Horse and Jockey as a Shift Supervisor responsible for running the Sunday breakfast / lunchtime shift, until moving to Cheltenham in 2018, upon which I transferred to The Greatfield, remaining as Shift Supervisor.While at the Jockey I took specific responsibility for Team Files / Training Records, including implementing STAR and setting up TNAs for the team; assisting with recruitment (including arranging and conducting interviews / trial shifts) and development of the team - specifically training and supporting team members progressing into Team Leader positions; I was also responsible for The Horse and Jockey’s Facebook presence and Guest Satisfaction scores.In addition to my specific responsibilities I assisted with placing maintenance call outs when required and chase repairs; communicated with the adjoined Premier Inn on issues that effected both our Guests (such as late opening / early closing of the Kitchen for maintenance / repairs and extract cleans); performed nightly kitchen checks and address any issues found with the chefs on duty; ensuring the daily due diligence / blue sky was correctly completed and processed ATOS payments for guests with Premier Inn allowances, keeping and filing the correct supporting paperwork. Occasionally I would also stand in for the regular Quiz Master when they were unavailable.More recently I have moved to the Cheltenham area, so have transferred to a MAB Pub nearby, on a part time basis, as I continue to enjoy pub work, although it is no longer my main career.
