I've worked in the arts my entire career. I love storytelling, and I've spent my life immersed in it from my childhood making cardboard theatres with cut-out actors to my life backstage in theatre and on set. I have spent over twenty years putting stories on their feet, and now I'm finding my own voice and giving life to my own stories.Over the years I've seen the most unlikely productions start from nothing and explode in popularity, and I've seen huge endeavours wither and die. I've installed and operated for shows ranging from one-mic stand-up to full scale musicals, made films from no-budget passion projects to high end TV dramas. All that time, I've studied the differences to learn what makes great art, what catches people's attention, what sets the imagination ablaze. I developed a feel for what will be popular, an instinct for story and an eye for that illusive inspiration that traps lightning in a bottle.Over the last few years I've been intently studying writing craft, adding a formal knowledge of structure, character and tone to my instinctive grasp of media, elevating my writing and my analysis, sharpening my abilities.
