Senior Electrical Designer / Estimator supervisor• Design/layout modular buildings to meet customer’s specifications and local codes, working with a CAD tech.• Create electrical bill of materials for accurate ordering and allocation to jobs.• Edit drawings with AutoCAD for release for production• Design control circuit wiring for lighting, ventilation, HVAC and fire alarms• Program Smart Relays/ PLCs for Environmental control panels. • Develop, implement and manage changes to design standards.• Support Senior Project Managers with customer related issues and production problems.• Troubleshoot technical issues before and throughout production. • Provide assistants and direction for the other Electrical designers. • Work with customers, to provide direction, support and assistants to keep projects on schedule or resolve issues.• Review/ investigate training opportunities for Electrical designers and estimators.• Work with distributors on new products, product research and pricing, and present to customers.• Develop training procedures and train/supervise training of new designers/estimators.• Preform Annual Reviews of estimators and designers. Interview potential candidates for openings in electrical design.• Create change orders.• Provide calculations for Ventilation systems. Estimating• Supervise / manage estimators• Manage workloads to ensure project designs/quotes are complete on schedule• Maintain electrical material/cost database as pricing and standards change.• Review new/alternate products proposed by vendors• Estimate projects for Hazardous locations and Non Hazardous locations
