My mining career started off with the basic operation of Mechanical and Electric rear dump haul trucks in the Overburden department of Goonyella Riverside Mine. As my experience in the field grew, I transitioned from hauling overburden to maintaining Prestrip circuits by use of Graders and Water Trucks. My ability to read and understand pit designs then gave me the opportunity to upskill to a Track Dozer. Track Dozers are widely utilised in the Overburden department ranging from loader cleanups to building dumps and bulk pushing to specific designs. My extensive knowledge and work ethic created further opportunity to be trained on a P&H 4100 XPB Rope Shovel and a Liebherr 9800 Excavator. Throughout my career working at Goonyella Riverside I completed the S1, S2, S3 Supervisors course along with Certificate 4 Trainer and Assessor.

In the role of Console Operator my duty was to maintain a healthy customer service by providing correct handling of cash/eftpos with a positive attitude. The role also consisted of maintaining a clean and tidy workplace with occasional sweeping/mopping and restocking of inventory. At times I assisted the kitchen hand when required with cooking hot food and making meals.

During my employment working at Coles Supermarket, my role working in the Fresh Produce department was to restock Produce and maintain a clean and tidy work area. On occasion take delivery of orders to pack and store in the cold room. At times stocktaking and face up was carried out throughout the store for visible appearance. I also experienced the role of retrieving trolleys on busy shifts as well as Console operator serving customers.
