I worked this position 13 years. It has evolved and transformed many times, giving me opportunities to be flexible and creative. I began as the art teacher for two schools, while teaching from a cart. I worked with budgeting, planning, management, exhibitions, and progress monitoring for many diverse populations of students.In this role, I have developed cross-curricular lessons and curriculum to integrate Art and S.T.E.M. through creative thinking, problem solving, and collaboration for K-5 students. I have created educational video content, incorporated internet literacy into lessons, and managed several educational social media accounts to interact with families. I piloted a S.T.E.A.M. elective initiated by crowdfunding and supported by administration. I also planned, organized, and prepared interactive art shows.

My primary duties included preparing suites for guest arrival, greeting and maintaining good rapport with hosts, verifying preorders or ordering food for guests, delivering food and beverages in a timely manner, operating a Point of Sale (POS) system from a computer and tablet to collect and process payments, and inventory and restock beverages in rooms. This position increased my competencies in guest relations and conflict resolution, POS systems, teamwork and problem solving, inventory assessment, food safety standards, and working in a fast paced environment.
