Whether it's creating/planning curriculum and teaching it to international students, or it's coaching/training professional associates in sales related endeavors; my professional experience in different industries has taught me that one learns fundamental, common-denominator skills that can be applied across positions and industries.Traveling the world and living in 5 different countries for the last 11 years taught me a lot and honed my skills. Couple that with working in both the education and private business sectors with diverse peoples/staff, those skills are, but not limited to, a commitment to strong and a display of:leadership;communication;organization;promotion of an ethical work culture;differentiated teaching/training/coaching methods.Something I am most proud of to date is taking place as I type these words in my current role as a Lead Trainer at Viking Cruises. The travel industry (and cruising specifically) has been marred by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. While many of our competitors are forced to lay off significant number of their employees in response to the global restrictions and escalated consumer fear, my training and coaching team here at Viking has temporarily found a solution to not only save employee jobs, but also reinvest in our customers trust in the brand. We call it the Outbound Campaign (or Outbound Project). It has many components, but where I am extremely proud is in teams ability to create, distribute, and monitor this project in an ever changing environment for our consumer base and the companies employees. My role in the training and coaching of over 140 agents and data collection (which has shown that the project has been a large success thus far in it's early stages) has been rewarding, to say the least.
