After facilitating the acquisition of the bank by a new investor group, I have remained with the organization in the role as Chief Financial Officer. The new investor group will provide additional capital and personnel in order to be more productive in the Kansas City metropolitan area, all the while maintaining the base of operations in their Jefferson County Kansas facilities. This new opportunity brings a dynamic group of investors and personnel that will allow this community bank to continue to operate and expand in their existing markets.

Community bank located in northeast Kansas with offices in Valley Falls, Nortonville, Winchester and a loan production office in Johnson County, Kansas. Managed a family owned community bank in which various investor family members desired to liquidate their holdings. Facilitated the sale of the community bank to a group of new investors, with interest in the Kansas City metropolitan area, and in completing the sale was able to ensure employment opportunities for all existing personnel.

Member of the accounting team with overall responsibility for daily management of the general ledger. In addition, oversaw the payroll, accounts payable, fixed assets, accrual and prepaid functions within the accounting department. Responsible for the integration of banks core processing system with the Call Reporting software and was responsible for the accurate and timely completion and submission of the quarterly Call Report. In addition, was the CRA officer for the bank and ensured that all public files at main location and branch offices were in compliance with regulations. Managed the foreclosed and repossessed assets of the bank including the disposition of such assets. Was responsible for the conversion of the general ledger system when converting core processing applications. Oversaw the collection of the consumer loan portfolio.

Part of the management team with responsibility for financial reporting and investment portfolio. Responsible for development of budgets and interim projections as required and provided all financial reports and agendas to the board of directors on a monthly basis. In addition, provided all financial reports and agendas for the shareholder annual meeting. Responsible to ensure that necessary liquidity was available as needed and that all documents required for liquidity availability were in place. Was responsible for the accurate and timely completion of the banks quarterly Call Report. Was the primary liaison with outside legal counsel, accounting firm and investment brokers. Coordinated with management on the implementation and integration of a mortgage lending unit where mortgage loans were sold into the secondary market. Managed the daily operations of the credit administration function to ensure loan documents were prepared as approved and that all loan collateral was properly secured and perfected. In addition, ensured that all loan files were properly documented and input onto the document tracking software. During earlier years at bank I was responsible for compliance which included compliance with CRA and BSA. Also during the earlier years was responsible for the construction lending function which also included development loans.

Community banker involved in all aspects of operating a community bank. Worked in all functional areas of the bank with emphasis on lending, operations and compliance. Managed a loan portfolio comprising agricultural, commercial and consuming loans which included all underwriting and collection of portfolio. Developed and managed the construction lending portfolio of the bank which provided residential construction loans in the banks primary rural area along with the Kansas City metro area. Oversaw the site selection and construction of both a temporary bank facility and permanent bank facility in Overland Park Kansas.
