I'm extremely excited to step into a new role with Oak Hill Management after being an Asset Manager for about 1 year and 9 months. After leaving Gander Mtn. I stepped into my first role outside of retail in over a decade. I went to take of the role of Project Manager for a small business in Raleigh, NC. I learned a lot about small businesses during my time there and I maxed myself out after about two years which is when I stepped into the role of Asset Management at Oak Hill Management. OHM is a private equity investment firm dealing primarily in commercial real estate.I was previously the Store Manager of Gander Mountain in Raleigh, NC. The store I managed was approximately 60,000 square feet and I had anywhere from 40-50 employees under me.Prior to working for Gander Mountain, I ran one of the top rated stores for Hhgregg. My location, in the Chicago area, was approximately 35,000 square feet and housed a cross dock that ran daily distribution of electronics, appliances, furniture and fitness. I had anywhere from 40-45 employees under me, 4 of which were managers. My store led the company in Home Theater sales and did over 20 million in sales annually. One of my favorite accomplishments was selling nearly 1 million dollars in revenue on Black Friday in 2011 and developing other successful leaders to become sales managers and store managers.
