About Daniel Abebe Mekuriaw
I recently graduated from Yale University with a double major in Computer Science and Statistics & Data Science. I have experience developing software and website applications through internships, hackathons, on-campus employment and personal projects. I enjoy and am passionate about providing solutions to real-life problems through programming, blogs, and other collaborative efforts, while also learning along the way.The last two summers, I completed two 12-week-long internships at Microsoft as a Software Engineer intern. These internships provided me with the opportunity to challenge myself and improve my technical knowledge, analytical skills as well as ability to work in a goal-oriented collaborative environment. I also had the opportunity to pick up several technical and interpersonal skills interacting with highly capable, skilled and experienced colleagues, while working on a large code base and impactful features.This summer (2024), I am excited to be returning to Microsoft as a full-time Software Engineer.
