Daniel is a highly capable, innovative, and transformational procurement leader with significant experience in leading large purchasing and specialised category teams. He has more than 9 years experience in senior procurement, category management, and leadership roles across the public service and consulting for large clients including government, tertiary and private sector organisations. He is quick to learn and adapt to change to deliver major project outcomes of a high calibre in short time frames, and has the experience and professional nous necessary to inform, influence, and direct strategic outcomes to deliver significant lasting value for stakeholders and organisations. Currently Daniel is leading 5 of the 6 Building Construction and Maintenance (BCM) sub-categories covering $2.5 billion of the $4 billion annual Queensland Government BCM spend profile. Previously he was the strategic sourcing lead for the $1.8 billion Housing Construction Jobs Program and the lead for the $100 million annual statewide Hard and Soft Facilities Management project covering 10 major sub-categories. Daniel was also a key member of the category review and sourcing team covering 14 trade services and $200+ million annual unplanned maintenance and minor upgrade services Standing Offer Arrangements for the Government.As the Category Manager for the 10,000+ vehicle Queensland Government fleet, he managed multiple international vehicle manufacturers and the end-of-life vehicle repair and disposal process. As a consultant, Daniel conducted a project management audit for the Public Transportation sector and interactive social procurement co-design workshops for the Health sector. He has also delivered strategies for facilities management and construction across the tertiary education sector and developed and delivered training material on strategic sourcing, category management and supplier relationship management.
