Daniel brings a confident ability in both regular and complex structural analysis and detailing to projects, with an endeavor to deliver optimized, cost-effective and bespoke solutions.During the years in design, research and even as a senior at the university Daniel has found interest in undertaking unusual projects and seeking accuracy and optimum in such challenges. The diligence has been awarded by a distinguished university diploma, awards and a PhD. In the meantime, Daniel has participated in a considerable number of design projects as well, that were many times innovative, complex and irregular. The various tasks, all contributed in a certain way to having a particular and broad set of skills in structural engineering analysis and design. Daniel's focus is on utilizing these skills in design, finding optimal solutions to engineering problems and by these contributing to the development of our built environment.Objectives:- support structural design with sophisticated finite element models and computer simulations- facilitate both architectural design and engineering with the application of BIM- promote sustainable structural design with structural optimization methods- incorporate research results into structural designAchievements:- provided an accurate description and a solution to the problem of the inadequate seismic performance of concentrically braced frames- developed several algorithms for optimization, parametric design and non-linear analysis- participated in research projects in collaboration with academic and industrial partners- involvement in the design of several large-span steel roofs, concrete, timber and movable structures- introduced more than 600 students to the realm of structural analysis
