The jobtitle is described as Application Manager. It is divided into subsets of Solution Analyst and Solution architect. All in the framework of ITIL. The system I have responsibility of consist of two TMS systems handling over a million orders on yearly basis and a system managing over 1300 drivers and their PDA:s in the Nordic region. With that large amount of activity 24/7 it requires alot of maintenance and upgrades. The job that I do is foremost to be a link between the BA (Business Analyst) and the Developers. I get requirements that I need to refine and translate into something our developers abroad can understand and work with. In the next phase I have to control that what I want is what I get. And finally be apart of the go live process. Two of the main keywords of this job is change management and incident/problem management. These areas is what takes up most of the time.

The job was mostly about catching the requirements for system support in the business. Working tight with business development team and delivery management I got to handle fast pace and quick time to market ideas. The daily work included requirement meetings and ordering new system features. And a big task included of learning the system landscape to be able to choose the right system at hand.Short said, listen to the business and be able to translate that into a requirement sent to the developer of the system.

On a nordic base coordinate maintenance, development and upgrades of webbooking solutions. Educate internal and external personal in TMS and PDA/Online systems. Create material for education and system manuals in both digital and analog form. Be a part of analysing the demand for new PDA specifications as well as handle PDA software and hardware development. Act as support for the company also on a nordic base mainly for TMS, webbooking solutions and TMS system. But also a lot of mainstream IT issues such as network, AD, hardware etc
