CurrentDesign and implement scalable, comprehensive return to work & early case management program at Tesla’s premier manufacturing facility in Fremont, CA. IMPACT: Reduced direct costs of lost time cases by $2,000,000 in the first 6 months of the Pilot program. Enhanced production performance in the manufacturing of Model Y Tesla vehicles. Built process to engage injured employee at the time of injury. Key program features: • Clear Rehabilitation and RTW communications• Optimal RTW resolution consistently in every case• Compliance with challenging CA. requirements• Employer generated KPIs & elimination of reliance on Lagging indicators to assess claims impact• Extensive training and engagement of supervisors and staff. Future Development & Implementation of TESLA’S Healthy, Healed & Back to Work WC management process. IMPACT: Engage & calibrate all worker’s compensation injuries with a scalable process. Reduce direct WC costs by 40%. Reduce direct and indirect injury costs by $10,000,000 at the Fremont, CA plant. More importantly, provide invaluable TESLA employees with the best opportunity to rehabilitate and return to work after an injury. Key Program Features: • Calibration & Analysis of every claim from date of injury.• Development & Deployment of comprehensive KPIs for case management & cost tracking system.• Train & develop staff of elite case managers. • Develop partnership with production & manufacturing to work seamlessly with WC management. • Coalesce divergent interests in the overall performance and outcome of the program.• Build internal TESLA team including HR, EHS, WPH, Injury Prevention and Ergonomics.
