Daniel Lesiba Modisakeng born and brought up in Meadowlands Soweto where he was introduced to electronic media through the Soweto Media Project which was started by South African council of churches. Later went to study with the Newtown Film and Television School where he specialised in Directing and Editing. Few years later joined Lizard post productions as an assistant editor to Guy Spiller. Then in 1993 moved on to work as an assistant director on a number productions that include music videos, commercials TV series (African skies and new directions) and movies. In 1995 then moved to video lab where he was working as a VT op. Orchestra Bleu recruited him where he got a vast experience in post-production under Graham Smith and Jeremy Emmerson as an assistant editor to three other best commercial editors and directors. Since then, he has emerged as one of the finest editors who worked for one the country’s leading Production Company which holds the biggest brand (DSTV) studio zoo. In 2012 he joined Endemol as the editing HOD on Big brother Africa season 7 and 2013 Big brother season 8. Then September Joint Vusionmedia on a project Gumba Gumba. Then moved to work on various productions, Triospere(I am celebrity get me out of here) Big Brother Mzansi and Angola again, Rapidblue(SA Got Talent) now Endemol on(Clash of the choirs) as an online video editor and 99 productions on an SABC drama series (Ngempela S2) off-line editor. He has been running his own company-Daniel Modisakeng Communications.
