An educational leader with a passion for working with students, their families, and their external teams in mainstream educational settings. Making what was once deemed impossible, possible! Working in education for the last ten years, I have held roles in English and Learning and Support faculties. Moving into a Head Teacher role in 2022 saw my responsibilities consolidated. I now manage a team of 16 teaching and non-teaching staff within a comprehensive mainstream secondary setting of 1800 students in Sydney, Australia.In 2019 I was the proud recipient of the Gandel Philanthropy Scholarship which saw me travel from Sydney to Jerusalem, Israel for a three week Holocaust Education immersion experience. Travelling with 29 other teachers from around Australia, my passion for life long learning was reignited as I learnt from leading Holocaust educators from around the world.Following this, in 2021 I was honoured to receive the Inclusive Practice in Education Scholarship from the NSW Department of Education which saw me complete my Masters in Special and Inclusive Education at The University of Sydney. Finishing in 2023 with a grade marked average of 97.5, the experience provided me with a deep theoretical understanding of the day to day practicalities of educators. Further to this, it provided me with added incentive to continue making a difference for the students and families I support. I am humbled to have been offered an opportunity to expand my skillset and work at The University of Sydney in 2025. Working with postgraduate students in Semester One, I will be teaching in the Sydney School of Education and Social Work, Arts and Social Sciences Faculty under Dr Zanuttini and Dr Evans. As I say to all students, never stop learning and never stop travelling!
