A paid internship where I was responsible for clerical duties throughout the building. Employment included administrative and clerical responsibilities: handling timesheets, organizing employee scheduling (e.g. rescheduling clinic hours, vacation, sick time, educational leave, etc.), ordering office supplies, setting up meetings and Polycom conference phone calls, stocking clinic rooms, etc.

Conducted ecology research with other students concerning the varying levels of salinity, phosphorous, nitrogen, and metal content levels at the San Joaquin River Valley through various implementations of scientific approach. We collected samples at three locations: Dow Wetlands, Big Break, and the Antioch Marina. We conducted 6 tests: dissolved O2, nitrate, metal test, pH, phosphate, and coliform and found heavy metal content at Dow Wetlands Nature Preserve with a color-gradient key. Upon further investigation, we contacted Ben Weise, a resource conservationist, who suspected the metal contamination were iron shaving deposits.
