Revenue Protection
Current Provide a high level of Customer Service to our customers on train and at stations. Responsible for the safe working at stations and on board trains, working in accordance with Rules & Regulations currently in force. Protect the revenue by means of Penalty fare/ Ticket or MG11 Statement. Question / Investigate and make statements which can be used to prosecute in a court of law. Abide by cash handling regulations. Provide evidence to the police and the prosecutions department and attend court when necessary. Make on the spot decisions when required. Work with the police on revenue exercises and special events exercises. Manage disruption Train evacuations trained and have carried out. Knowledge of railway computer systems Good knowledge of the GTR railway layout and train movements. Mentor new staff and on the job training, Seconded to CCTV during the Covid pandemic. Elected Company Council Representative for the Rail maritime & Transport Union for GTR Revenue. 2011 - Current Sit on committees with senor management / Directors to represent the staff, These include quarterly meetings with route managers to resolve any outstanding issues that have not been resolved at local level. Pay committee to negotiate pay awards with company Directors. Consultation meetings regarding new / change of policies or procedures. Represent staff in Disciplinary hearings/Grievance Hearings , making sure they are being treated and fairly and all company procedures have been followed.
