When I was in high school I was very eager to make money, I began working on my uncles farm when I was 14 up until the age of 18. During my time working on the farm I was in charge of anything from feeding livestock, raking, windrowing, bailing and wrapping hay to loading firewood into the basement to keep the house warm. During my time of working on the farm I also grew my interest in construction, as I grew older I began to do construction jobs on the side for people until I officially started working full time for J & S Weiss Construction Brothers, and planting/harvesting crops on the weekend for my uncle depending on the time of year. When I began working for John I started out, watching and learning next to another employee, gathering him tools or materials he needed. As the first year went on I started being given my own jobs and tasks like framing walls, installing windows, patching drywall, all basic things but that's where I started learning the tricks of the trade. As the years went on John still has nothing but good things to say, I am always at work on time I do what is asked and if I do make a mistake John accepts it as a learning point for me which has benefitted the both of us, now I know what to do next time and ill do it right saving the company time and money. I have began to open my horizons to new construction applications but I am comfortable with the company I am with now.
