First line for support on TGW equipment

Setting up IT equipment acording to customer specification within customer agreed SLA's. This role includes setting up equipment ranging from GPS navigation for drivers to servers setup for data-centers to Kiosk equipment for fast food restaurants. I use MDT and SCCM systems for a wide range of images with some needing VPN and Domain connections setting up after. The main day to day operation is to DOA equipment and tag them for asset tracking. Due to my skill set outside of work in the 3D CAD/CAM space I have been given the respinsibility for looking after and creating resources for the laser engraving machines. This includes setting up purchase orders with the precurement team for equipment and meterials needed for day to day running. I have also been responsible for creating signs and equipment to be used around the werehouse which included adaptable size rules used for scanning equipment too small for the package machines we have.

Customer assistant for Tesco Express, This was an all-round job role that included everything related to running a small shop. I helped customer find what they wanted, stocked the shelves, served customers on the tills as well as making sure the tills worked correctly and had the right amount of change. Other part included helping the Team Leader in thier duties so the team could finish everything needed for that day. I got to know my role quickly enough that the managers saw my potentional and asked me to train alot of the new staff that we hired.

I built computers for friends and family. I got work from word of mouth. I would work with the potential customers by asking what they would do on the computer and use my knowledge to create expectations with them. I would then work up a spreadsheet detailing how much of the budget will be spent on each part and how much performance you will get in various games and software. I would then shop around to find the best part for the best price and order the parts. Once they arrive i build the computer and install the software they want and run benchmarks to make sure the computer can run the games and software they wanted in the first place. I would then deliver or they would pick up the computer and I have offered tech support after the fact so they can have just as good experiance as when they first got the computer. This has actually lead to repeat business where they come back asking for upgrades or computers for friends of friends. I make sure the customer is at the heart of this experiance.
