This was a high-profile role working across the travel industry to become an early expert in a completely new area which has since dominated the airline technology landscape.► Airport Operations & Customer Service Manager (Mediterranean & South America) - Responsible for a portfolio of change management projects across the region, including the rollout of the new British Airways airport check-in system in this region, which was a significant change project involving detailed operational planning. I also led new route start-ups in Valencia (ES), Lima (PE) and Santiago (CL), as well as a terminal move in Rio de Janeiro (BR). Upon completion of the Lima route start-up, I stayed there as Country Operations Manager for four months to implement robust operational processes for it to be managed with no local British Airways representative - the first route to operate in this model across the BA global network. The success of this trial has since led to other airports following it and a substantial cost saving for the airline.► Community Investment Programme Lead - Effected change across a portfolio of CSR initiatives, including the Flying Start partnership with Comic Relief, a Volunteering programme and a Schools Education programme, significantly building their internal and external reputations and establishing the organisation as a leader in this space.
