I had shift responsibility for 3 fast paced production lines responsible for all aspects of the production process from mixing to finished goods ensuring safety, GMP and KPI's are all met ensuring the labour costs are met and controlled always looking for ways to improve the production process and reduce costs. I was responsible for around 60 - 70 operations team members.

I was responsible for the one of 3 bays in the bakery making twisted yum yum;s and potato scones. My role is to ensure the safe and cost efficient running of my lines ensuring quality, efficiency, waste and labour budgets are all met always looking for ways to improve production and efficiencies. I was directly responsible for the daily production planning for my lines over 24 hours and ensuring all lines in the factory are staffed with the correct amount of staff at all times. I arrange additional staffing from our agency for all lines in the factory over 24 hours I control all agency requests and agency hours ensuring budgets are met. I am directly responsible for all employees in my bay ensuring absence levels are monitored and dealing with any disciplinary action that is required.

I had responsibility for four production lines I convey the daily production plan to the whole production team and engineering department noting any product or engineering changes. Ensuring KPIs are met. I do this on a daily basis and the outcome is that everyone online, i.e. mixing, process, packing and engineering knows what we need to do to run the line efficiently and cost effectively. In April 2006 I took on the role of shift manager with overall responsibility for the factory on evening shift this includes manning the shift and were necessary re deploying managers to other lines in the factory and ensuring the smooth running of all production lines reporting on any variances from cost etc I did this role for 2 years until the factory management structure was changed. I actively promote good GMP, safety and 5 S standards. I am responsible for all employees in my area dealing with absence and with HR carrying out any disciplinary action that is required.
