CurrentProvide excellent animal care and ensure habitats meet compliance of facility specific policies and procedures.Ensure the correct diets and quantities are fed to the animals.Perform daily animal husbandry tasks, health checks, animal behaviour observation and training.Maintain strict health & safety compliance.Ensure all animals are visually checked and numbers recorded daily.Follow the set lock up procedure (for carnivores – buddy system).Ensure animals have fresh water at all times.Ensure that animals have access to shelter at all times.Assist in the maintenance and implementation of new habitats and educational opportunities.Maintain up-to-date records on animal health, system maintenance, system checks and stock reports.Monitor and identify animal health concerns.Communicate to Conservation Manager and Veterinary staff about any animal health concerns to develop and implement a care or treatment plan.
