• Onboarded APA MiFID II stack sourcing reported data for various trading markets from front to back. Used a Q-based feed handler to subscribe to RMDS (Reuters) infrastructure using C shared libraries. Exposed an API to perform custom filtering queries and dynamic reference data joins from other internal kdb+ systems to return enriched market data results for clients.• Created a reference data system in Q to capture and store daily snapshots of Index constituent and reference data used for internal close pricing calculations. The stack used the Babel Java library as an intermediary to extract reference data from a separate internal Oracle SQL Server system and transform the results into kdb+ objects. The solution was successfully adopted, internal components such as feeds and calculation libraries were migrated to use the new table formats, and the legacy index reference datastore was decommissioned.• Designed a highly configurable kdb+ last value cache (LVC) framework built in Q to capture intraday Index prices and snap EOD closes. Performance of the LVC was analyzed and optimized to work with large universe datasets. An API was developed for both end-users and internal systems to easily extract prices throughout the day. The framework was subsequently re-used and adapted for other products (e.g. Options) successfully.• Developed real-time and historical kdb+ based market data stacks for Rates, FX, and Equity business lines using internal frameworks and custom-built Q components. Created Java feed handlers in Spring/Camel frameworks to subscribe to Solace messaging middleware and publish into kdb+ tickerplants. Worked directly with internal business clients to expose new requirements via a gateway API. The application spanned global installations in US, EMEA, and APAC environments requiring 24/7 support for end-users. Actively involved in all aspects of SDLC including build manager duties, SVN/GIT reviewer and admin, and weekend deployment responsibilities.
