The VP of Support Operations is a key member of the operations management team, reporting directly to the CEO. The position has the primary responsibility of leading the day-to-day operations of the business for the Information Technology (IT), Marketing, HR, and Design departments, ensuring they are managed and performing efficiently and effectively in accordance with the strategic plan and the annual operating budgets.

o Manages IT Department, including the planning, evaluation, design, development, and implementation of information systemso Maintains organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting the strategic plans for implementing information technologies in each of SI departments.o Provided in-service and hands-on-training for all SI staff for hardware and software applicationso Member of Organizational Management Team working directly with CEO and Board of Directors on projects requiring their collaborationo Responsible for IT Department annual staff and compensation evaluationso Responsible for meeting departments financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing any variances, and initiating corrective action when necessaryo Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.

Responsible for management of all IT projects and staff members, purchasing and maintaining all IT equipment, maintaining the integrity of organization data, and recommending IT policy and procedures to administration.-Prepare and manage the IT budget.-Supervise all IT staff members.-Coordinate and provide in-service and hands-on training for staff for hardware and software applications as needed.-Recommend IT policies and procedures to the Executive Director and the Board of Directors. -Develop written materials in order to communicate IT information to consumers, staff and public.-Coordinate the selection and purchase of equipment and support materials needed to reach organization goals.-Monitor, manage, maintain, and administer the server environment including the Active Directory, Exchange, and SQL databases.-Provide repair and upgrades for hardware, networks and software.-Develop bid specifications as required by policy for new and replacement hardware and software.-Install, setup, and maintain appropriate software on servers.-Develop and maintain an accurate inventory of all technology equipment. Maintain a limited inventory of parts and materials.-Develop and maintain the integrity of all data. -Secure all servers.-Prepare and monitor a disaster recovery plan, including backups of servers.

Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. Participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the CIL infrastructure. Ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and Partners.Assist project teams with technical issues in the Initiation and Planning phases of WILS standard Project Management Methodology. These activities include the definition of needs, benefits, and technical strategy; research & development within the project life-cycle; technical analysis and design; and support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out the solutions. Participation on projects is focused on smoothing the transition of projects from development staff to production staff by performing operations activities within the project life-cycle.Accountable for the following systems: Linux and Windows systems that support CIL infrastructure; Linux, Windows and Application systems that support Asset Management; Responsibilities on these systems include SA engineering and provisioning, operations and support, maintenance and research and development to ensure continual innovation.

•Establishes system specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing system infrastructure.•Establishes system by planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of PC and server hardware, software, LAN and WAN networks, and operating and system management systems; defining system and operational policies and procedures.•Maintains system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting system hardware, software, networks and operating and system management systems; designing and running system load/stress testing; escalating application problems to vendor.•Secures system by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures; completing back-ups; maintaining documentation.•Prepares users by designing and conducting training programs; providing references and support.•Upgrades system by conferring with vendors and services; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements and new software.•Meets financial requirements by submitting information for budgets; monitoring expenses.•Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
