I have a thorough understanding of the key elements that go into a roadway design project from preliminary conceptual design through construction oversight. I specialize in roadway design and have intricate knowledge of all aspects of engineering services. I currently am the Manager of the Roadway Design Group at HSH overseeing all municipal and statewide roadway improvement projects that we are involved in.Recently, I served as Project Manager for a multi-disciplinary consultant team on the design of roadway and streetscape improvements to enhance bike and pedestrian connectivity through Downtown Boston’s urban corridor, also known as the Connect Historic Boston project. HSH has helped to carry the project from conceptual design into construction along an accelerated delivery schedule. I worked closely with the Boston Transportation Department (BTD), the Boston Redevelopment Authority (BRA), Boston Public Works Department (BPWD), and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) to ensure the project was advertised on time.I have extensive experience in working with MassDOT. I served as the lead civil engineer for the Dorchester Avenue Reconstruction Project, which included redesign and signalization of 14 intersections along Dorchester Avenue, including preparation of construction documents, as well as new geometric alignments, surface drainage improvements, utility coordination, and traffic management plans. For the town of Sandwich in collaboration with MassDOT, I developed and recommended the replacement of a four-way intersection with a modern roundabout. The roundabout was advertised for construction in October 2011 and was awarded in December 2011. Construction of the safety improvements completed ahead of schedule in the winter of 2012.
