Mr. Daniel J. Nicky's unique brand of humorous educational songwriting has reached an international audience, providing exciting opportunities for students to learn through the medium of music. As a certified English and Biology teacher, Mr. Nicky began his educational music career by releasing "Mr. Nicky's Science Project" in 2006. His single "The Watercycle" was placed in Big Round Record's CELEBRATE EARTH series alongside legendary children's artists Raffi and Ellen Edson. However, it was Mr. Nicky's debut album, "Rattlesnakes for Breakfast," that found greater success. His single “Too Many Beans” shot up to #1 on XM Radio’s kids' station. Teaching character growth and strong values through humorous performances, as he did on “Rattlesnakes for Breakfast,” became a hallmark of Mr. Nicky’s live stage shows for children. Mr. Nicky then brought a fresh approach to making music effective for learning by taking well-known radio hits and changing the lyrics to teach history lessons. His YouTube channel "Mr. Nicky's World History Songs" became popular in middle school social studies classes across America, making Mr. Nicky a YouTube celebrity. He now tours around the United States each spring performing school assemblies and songwriting workshops.His love for world cultures brought Mr. Nicky across the globe to Indonesia, where he received an opportunity to expand his educational music career internationally. Kumata Animation Studio invited him to host his own musical English learning show: “How Are You, Mr. Dan?” (www.HowAreYouMrDan.com). Mr. Dan has now appeared over 100 times on national television in Indonesia. As Mr. Dan Nicky's career continues to grow, he uses his many talents to inspire and encourage youth in the U.S.A. and across the globe toward a lifelong love of learning.
