Using the Seven Step Method, A3’s, 8D’s, Root Cause Analysis, PDCA, and 5 Why’s tools, KPI’s shortfalls are investigated to identify corrective measures.• As an ISO9001:2008 company, product quality improvements have been achieved by building quality issue parados, completing a “5 Why” and cause mapping investigation, then developing and implementing I-Plans to address. • Challenged maintenance toward a goal of developing a TPM/Reliability based leadership group with knowledge and vision of a proactive maintenance system, installation of a computer based work order system to track machine repairs and PM’s, and implementation of NDT (Non-destructive testing) proactive identification process.• Implemented Operator SPC at key process points which utilizes operator maintained control charts that show trends for key process parameters and quality test results. These charts are used by operators to monitor performance and have reaction limits and procedures to avoid producing out of spec product or process excursions.
