Currently I am working for Arapahoe County as a janitor in their government judicial, coroner and sheriff offices. I have passed all governmental security clearance standards to work at these facilities. My duties include vacuuming, cleaning and stocking restrooms and break rooms, mopping floors and washing windows. Often I am required to travel between facilities and use company vehicles to do so.

I began my career at Simmons as a line worker in the box spring department. A couple years later I was moved to the quilting department where I ran panel and quilting machines. Within a few years I worked my way to being lead of the 16 person Quilting Department. There my duty was to assure that the line ran smoothly and efficiently. On a daily basis I assisted in raw material inventory, prepared materials for the next assembly, moved personnel to where needed and inspected completed product for quality. I performed safety checks, assured the upkeep of machines and stepped in on the line where needed. From time to time I assisted with installation of machinery and in the interviewing and termination of employees. In my time at Simmons I received awards and recognition for attendance, working to keep material waste down and for reaching productivity goals.

My job duties with Champion were general janitorial duties in various office buildings across the Denver area where Champion had cleaning contracts. These included law offices, dentists, radio stations, accounting firms and mortgage companies. I was given security codes to access the buildings and was trusted to work independently, often seeing my bosses and co-workers only on payday or if supplies where needed.
