My name is Daniel Olszewski, and many call me Ozzy. I am currently in my fourth year of my Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Florida. I work in the Florida Institute of Cybersecurity on cutting-edge research to our modern security issues. In my undergrad, I obtained a B.A. in mathematics, computer science, and data science. My aptitude for the classroom and passion for my subjects make my college experience an exciting and rigorous journey. But I have plenty of background in skills that have allowed me to pursue what I love. Mainly, I was an Eagle Scout. This gave me the skills in leadership, teamwork, and work ethic to be able to tackle two majors and an emphasis in four years. At Carroll College, I am an active person in Engineers Without Borders (EWB), ASCC Senate, Residence Hall Association (RHA), Carroll College Theatre, and plenty of other clubs. I am always busy here at school studying and partaking in what I love. I served as ASCC Executive President and sit on several committees including Curriculum, Resources and Planning, Master Planning, and Policy. I also served as the student representative on the Presidential Search Committee for the 18th president of Carroll College. My course work prepared me to handle advanced modeling and analysis, software development, and independent research learning.
