Originally a back-end programmer using Java EE - Spring boot. Now a QA Engineer as of 2020 with expertise as a lead / senior currently situated in the hospitality industry. My skillset not only covers management & process defining, but also has involvement in automation (currently using Cypress). I'm used to switching between multiple projects in a fast-paced environment & welcome the challenges that come with being a start-up. I also prefer the setting of having a smaller team - making use of individual expertise & building a strong foundation. I may be a QA Engineer, but I can do much more than expected of the role.My methods involve employing various test techniques to not only find defects or bugs, but to ultimately improve the quality of the software ensuring a smoother experience for clients & customers alike. Such techniques ranging from regression & integration testing to acceptance & maintenance testing, along with exploratory if necessary.Due to experience as a developer, I have a keen insight into the white box testing approach, and can make use of DB access through SQL for confirmation & sanity checks which is still continuing to grow as I delve more & more into automation. On the side, I do dabble in some front-end development - specifically ReactJS which im finding interesting (I'm no expert though!)---Systems / Interfaces I've worked with:EPoS / PoS, Rotas, Financial Reports, VAT & NIC, Irregular Hours, Online Ordering, Childrens Education apps, Staff Management, Payment systems(stripe, stripe connect, apple pay), client portals, stock systems (including stock checks, deliveries, internal transfers), loyalty customer management, reservation system (including API's: guestline, Design My Night)
