Kampala-Jinja Express Way Traffic Survey Review. Conducted Traffic studies which included identifying and training enumerators and supervisors to carryout the traffic census, Origin and Destination surveys and Trip-Time surveys.Regeneration of Central Business District of Kampala City which was to restructure the Old Taxi Park and develop an Area Transport Plan for Kampala City’s downtown.Design & Build upgrading project between - Mubende – Kakumiro - Kagadi (107 km) in Western Uganda involving detailed reconnaissance survey and traffic studies.

Responsible for the project management and co-ordination with respect to all the Consultants activities. • Regularly attend meetings called by Team Leader with the Contractors on matters relating to progress of works and other field problems including difficulties in procurement, utilisation of equipment, quality assurance and cash flow• Maintain and extend the dialogue with the client and other key stakeholders during the project period, and hereby ensure a joint understanding of the outcome of COWI's efforts. • Ensure that the employees are committed and motivated. • Ensure that efficient communication internally in the project in order to execute the project in the most appropriate and efficient way.• Ensuring availability of resources to the project team and providing the necessary backstopping.• Prepare the project Quality Assurance Plan, including development of appropriate quality control and approval proforma and procedures to be used during the supervision of the construction works.• Ensure that the Resident Engineers maintain appropriate site records of consultant’s staff attendance, vehicle logs and up-to-date inventories of supplied vehicles, furniture, equipment and consumables.• Perform the duties of the Quality Assurance Engineer including establishment and organisation of the Quality Assurance Audit Programme.• Review reports and plans prepared by consultants before submission to the Client, including contractor’s contraction methodology and procedures.• Ensure an appropriate phasing out and closing of the project including providing input on post construction activities and monitoring as required.
