Unpaid voluntary role. Since 2011 Campus Skateparks ( www.campusskateparks.co.uk ) have used community sport facilities to provide support, jobs and training to young people and support regeneration in local communities. With now over 5000 members, Campus now run 2 successful skateparks, a small retail business and 2 cafes. Both facilities were derelict public buildings brought back into community use.My role:- Focused on strategy, planning and decision making- Supported Campus to raise finance for most recent capital project

Working Knowledge are a social enterprise who have run innovative enterprise training events in FE & HE for 7 years. This academic year we're on course to work with 13,500 students.- Supporting Working knowledge to deliver a series of sector skills events for the Local Enterprise Partnership.- New business, new relationships

Creative Common is a cultural business and the first 'temporary use' project in the Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone - hosting the launch of the Local Enterprise Partnership. It had 14,000 people through it's doors in the first 6 months, attending a wide range of cultural, business and community events.Setup by a consortium of creative organisations, social enterprises, private enterprise and public bodies, it demonstrates what can be done through partnership in a remarkably short period of time.I created the business concept, secured funding, brokered strategic partnerships to enable the venture and project managed business startup and project implementation.

BEC is a community energy company that raised £130K from 154 investors to deliver 3 capital projects in 2012.With others I founded the company in 2011. I now support BEC to move into their next round of projects.

Low Carbon South West is a trade association and sector partnership between businesses, academia, investors, local authorities, regional and national agencies promoting the growth of the environmental technologies and services sector in the South West. I supported projects, each developing a new area of business, creating new opportunities through collaboration and partnership. These included: sustainable energy, innovation, skills and training.
