I slit larger rolls of polyester, polyethylene, paper and laminated films into smaller rolls. Some materials get perforation holes pierced into them. As an operator I work with helpers to efficiently process the material. I am responsible for ensuring that the quality of our product is always at its best. Making sure that the width of the material is correct, the perforations are within specification, the proper amount is produced and paying attention to other quality issues that may have been missed throughout various other manufacturing processes.

Operate lamination machines to combine one web of plastic film to another to make a laminated material. Adjust and measure various adhesives and curing agents to obtain a proper bond. Adjusting tensions on unwind rolls and rewind roll to ensure proper alignment and pressure of the bond. Input and retrieve data into various software programs to track and monitor production and quality standards.
