As a design engineer, my responsibilities include selecting the correct components that with go together on the final product. This includes taking in all inputs that affect the different parts to be used, verifying interferences, verifying expected finished weights to ensure safety, and working on projects to allow for a smoother build process. A critical requirement is organization, as the structural engineer is responsible for maintaining deadlines and verifying other engineers are on schedule. Additionally, attention to detail is critical as changing circumstances and inputs require different or new solutions. Day to day tasks include maintaining BOMs and creating ECOs for each build.

As a process engineer, I worked in several areas within the final assembly build process. Responsibilities included creating new solutions for increasing complexity challenges, maintaining our build schedule, and supplying upper management with reliable and actionable data. Starting in our electrical sub assembly area, I establisheed a new process reducing up to 3 hours of work needed to route wires. I then moved to create a new method of transporting and storing parts, using low code solutions (PowerBi and PowerApps) to help identify track and solve issues as they arise. In my last position, I oversaw our initial sub assembly process revolving around chassis mounted components. Understanding quality and liability are top priorities as well as ensuring the area did not bottleneck downstream processes. Here I helped identify top drivers for production challenges and brought in additional work alleviating 8 hrs of work for downstream processes. With many moving pieces, attention to detail is critical to all three of these experiences.
