Designed, implemented and demonstrated a prototype using the Riemann monitoring framework in collaboration with a co-worker. The monitoring prototype consisted of a client to collect performance data and a Dashboard for presentation of selected real-time performance metrics. The Dashboard was implemented in Grafana. The prototype implementation also incorporated secure inter node communication using TLS certificates.In addition to the Riemann prototype, a robustness test tool was developed using Ansible and custom Python modules named "Chaos Monkey". The prototype is used to perform actions towards server nodes that are disruptive and outside normal operating conditions, i.e, disconnecting virtual networks and terminating processes. The development was done in C/C++, Python, Ansible, Clojure, Graphite and Grafana.
