This position took place in the Summers and Winters of 2016 - PresentDuring the entire internship I was placed in a power electronics department. Through the internship, I was tasked with constructing numerous technical documents to be sent to outside companies as well as to the government. Another facet of the internship was to assist in the completion of calculations and tests. Throughout my time I assisted in completing a voltage drop calculation, VLF testing, circuit design verification, VLF testing, and the basic evaluation of a magnetic motor. In the Summer of 2018 I was tasked with mentoring out of discipline engineers on electrical engineering principles as well as set system requirements and kick off a large-scale project. Finally, I was tasked with the modeling and analysis of a soft-switched drive topology versus the alternative hard-switched topology.In the Winter of 2018, I was tasked with interface integration as well as developing system requirements. I also instructed electrical designers in the completion of various electrical drawing for the system.

In my role as a research assistant I worked on developing a new control-based treatment for cerebral palsy. This project called for the modeling of the human brain with cerebral palsy and then the development of a control system to change the signals in the brain to counteract the disease. I am still currently pursuing this project on my own.

I was a teaching assistant/grader for two different classes. ENGR 1166 is the introduction to engineering design class for freshman to first get experience working on engineering projects. In this class I acted as a resource for the students to troubleshoot their projects when they ran into problems.ECE 3111 is the Systems Analysis class for electrical engineers and largely acts as UConn's introduction to control systems course. In this class I acted as a grader and held office hours for any students that needed any help outside of class.
