I lead the people and culture efforts at Magine, collaborating closely with my peers on the management team. However, it's equally important to stay aligned with all colleagues across the company. As the company undergoes a period of transition, so does my role. I work closely with the finance department, but I do my best to really understand our product too. Our product is always close to my heart, as is how my work can enhance our sales capabilities. In this position, I must be aware of and on top of all aspects of HR, encompassing Attract, Recruit, Develop, Retain, and Terminate (Sw: ARUBA). The responsibilities in this role extend beyond a typical department head's, but Magine is also a small company, so boundaries are somewhat fluid.

We're a team of 3 doing HR and TA for Sweden and Finland. 220 employees, 3 BUs, 4 offices.I try to have a split focus between operational activities, while at the same time develop our HR capabilities long term. The business is very competitive and our staff is highly sought after in the market, so I'm privileged to work in a company where HR has to perform, not as a staff function, but as a partner. Stationed in Stockholm, but reporting through a matrix structure to Denmark. One of four members of the mgmt team for Sweden and Finland. Collaborating with roughly 10 managers. Being in a competitive market with a pragmatic leadership, I'm being pushed to focus forward, rather than just sweeping up what has already happened. This gives me the mandate to explore future possibilities while balancing local needs with global expectations. Best of all, my colleagues and all the smart and hardworking people in this company! Worst, not being "there" yet...

This was a temporary assignment.In my position as People Practices Lead (Sr HRBP) I was responsible for 1 out of 4 Business Units in Sweden (approximately 70 employees) and a member of the management team for that BU. Supporting 6 managers within areas such as (but not limited to); talent management, rewards, performance management, health, engagement, change mgmt., labor law/CBA negotiations, leadership/management culture and executive recruitment. Some projects concerning all of Sweden were assigned to me as well, such as the salary survey and the engagement survey process. A majority of the work was done in English since the corporate language is English and because some managers didn't speak Swedish.

Interim job that started out as a downsizing job. The company unfortunately had to reduce staff and I was asked to help. After a while it became a generalist job with a big diversity in terms of tasks. Policies, regulation, merging two different cultures, recruiting and so much more. A lot of influence and a lot to do! More than 10 nationalities at the office and english as the standard language. On top of this I did quite a bit of comp & ben work. Even a little bit of mobility questions, such as re-location packages and immigration related tasks.
