Ownership asked me to take on this role when the previous Parts Manager retired.- Ordered all the stock orders in order to keep a lean, but efficient inventoryvalued at over $900,000- Motivated, trained, and coached 14 Parts team members with one-on-onemeetings as well as working with them side by side as needed- Became well versed in analyzing financial data and presentingdepartmental performance in monthly financial statement meetings withmanagement and ownership- Reworked parts pricing matrix several times a year to ensure it was in linewith the current market- Collaborated with the General Manager, Sales, and Service Departmentsto ensure that Variable and Fixed Operations at the store had Partscooperation- Regularly met with Service Managers and Service Advisors to ensure thatwe were all aware of each others plans and struggles to help make thestore run smoother- Reorganized the parts shelving system to give it a more natural flow,improve restocking and pulling efficiency, and added a second floor to theexisting Parts warehouse to gain the space needed for the growth thedepartment was experiencing- Reworked the warranty storage and documentation program to eliminateany Parts warranty losses- Assisted in the consolidation of the wholesale parts program that waspreviously offsite- Met with the manufacturer’s DPSM monthly to ensure that the store wasin compliance and representing the brand properly- Attended brand specific and group specific 20-group schools in order tobetter understand how to improve the department

A management opportunity became available at First Texas Honda and I wasinvited by ownership to fill the role. Assisted the Parts Manager in all daily duties.- Maintained inventory levels and warehouse layout- Monitored the parts distribution to the technicians- Learned each team member role to better understand the individual jobsand how they could be altered to improve the overall operation of theParts Department- Oversaw the store switching over to an entirely new Dealer ManagementSoftware

The decision was made to open up a second location of Wholesale Parts Direct. Iwas selected to manage it because of my extensive knowledge of the product lines,strong relationships with the north Austin customer base, and my ability to leadand motivate team members. Under my direction, we set up and maintained abranch which exclusively serviced the north Austin mechanical market.- Built and organized an entire warehouse inventory from the ground up- Learned the Accounting aspect of Parts in order to properly train thecashier and assist when needed- Once the business had outgrown its space, I supervised the move to a newlarger location in north Austin

Established a first of its kind offsite Parts Department that consisted of a handpicked team brought over from First Texas Honda and Mercedes-Benz of Austin.The team built and maintained an exclusive wholesale customer base consisting ofautomotive shops across Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. During this time, thebusiness model was changed from only selling manufacturer supplied items to alsooffering aftermarket parts.- Learned how to sell aftermarket and Mercedes-Benz parts in order toprovide my customers with a more streamlined sales experience- Negotiated a Brembo rotors contract with a Dallas based customer tobecome the number one wholesale Brembo source in Texas- Attended SEMA shows in order to learn how to properly acquire newvendors for the store’s aftermarket lineup

Sold parts to the shop technicians on the back parts counter. Assisted in thetransition from Honda’s microfiche parts catalog to their new electronic partscatalog.- Was the first parts employee to switch over from microfiche to ElectronicParts Catalog as it was in its infancy from Honda- Learned the front and wholesale counter duties in order to assist thatteam when they required more help- Developed my own customer base while assisting with overflow from themore seasoned team members

Managed the parts delivery fleet for First Texas Honda and Mercedes-Benz ofAustin.
