Part of a cost savings initiative team, which utilizes and implements various Lean Manufacturing ideals throughout the entire manufacturing process. Attend monthly production meetings, giving input on quality issues, presenting monthly COPQ reports, and offering input on production scheduling. Utilize various SPC tools to track and monitor trends in manufacturing, with the intent to minimize cost of inspection and maximize prevention of defects. First-piece, in-process and final inspection of commercial and nuclear parts utilizing CMM and various manual inspection tools. Maintaining of calibration system, researching and purchasing of new metrology equipment, and initiate and schedule outside calibrations. Maintaining of quality system to meet standards of NADCAP and ISO 9000:2001. Collecting and interpreting SPC data to maintain between 5 and 6 sigma defect levels. Assisting production department with designing of functional gaging and welding fixtures using SOLIDWORKS and Alibre cad systems. Rockwell hardness testing per ASTM E28 using manual Rockwell Tester.

Responsibilities include programming of LK-G80 Coordinate Measuring Machine utilizing the software LK-DMIS and LK-Camio. Solid modeling with SOLIDWORKS for use with CMM and MasterCAM. Designing of Fixturing and functional gaging. Maintaining of quality system that meets highest quality standards of government, military and private industries, including; NRC 10 CFR 50 appendix B, MIL-STD-105, 120, 480, 45208, 481, and 45662. First-piece, in-process and final inspection of commercial and nuclear parts utilizing CMM and various manual inspection tools. Assisting production department by educating machinists on geometric dimensioning and other print requirements.
