After 25 years in Information Technology and Automotive Electronics with General Motors, I married my hometown sweetheart, Vickie in 2009. We relocated our primary residence back to our hometown in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and no longer have any properties in SE Michigan. We greatly miss Union Lake and our many friends in Metro Detroit. I am very happily employed by Purdue University - Fort Wayne. As a Boilermaker, it is a sweet irony to see my paycheck each month, payable from Purdue University to Daniel Palermo! I have recently assumed a new role as the Associate, Chief Information Officer for PFW. I retain all of my prior responsibilities as Director of IT Security, the PMO, Telephony, and Security Camera Operations, but now have a broader role with the Purdue Systems Architecture, Centralized Purdue Organizations, Financial and Strategic Direction. I am good for the job, and the job is good for me.Vickie has a great job with Bankers Life Insurance Company as the Branch Office Administrator. The flexible hours allow her to be a full-time mother to her children, a grandmother, and babysit my childish behaviors. Our oldest child (Nick) graduated from Saint Francis University and is putting his degree in Graphic Design to work locally at the Allen County Public Library ... becoming a somewhat famous local artist and has several large murals around town. Our daughter (Brooke) is recently and happily married to Joey. She is putting her degree in Veterinary Technology to good use, working locally for HOPE / SPCA caring for animals, her passion. She is mother of our three grandchildren, (Macy 7 Y/O, Lincoln 5 Y/O, and newborn Archie), and Joey's two children (Kaiya 10 Y/O and Ainsley 7 Y/O). Our youngest (Zach), recently engaged to Brooke Wigent, is working locally as an HVAC Technician / Plumber. He has been entrusted with his own service van at an early point in his career, and is a natural fix-it-man. Mom would say her baby-boy has grown up too quickly. Our home in Fort Wayne has a good roof and a spare bedroom for visitors. Returning home to Fort Wayne was a huge step in the right direction for our lives!
