Research Topic: Cavity Assisted Two-Phase Flow in a Silicon Microchannel Heat Sink• Designed and fabricated a heat transfer and fluid dynamics testing system for the study of two-phase flow in silicon microchannels for electronics cooling applications. • Fabricated microchannel test specimens using Micro-Electrical-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) fabrication techniques.• Tested variables such as heat flux, mass flow, fluid subcooling, hydraulic diameter and number of cavities while measuring exit and inner channel temperature, inlet and outlet pressure, frequency of fluid instabilities, and heat source temperature. • Utilized a high speed camera to capture the visual characteristics of the two phase fluid dynamics inside the heat sink channels.• Designed and fabricated a High Temperature RTD Calibration system. • Lab Instructor for junior level Mechanical Engineering Course (Measurements and Instrumentation)
