Responsibilities of this role include splitting pallets, stocking shelves, cleaning duties, dealing with customer questions and arranging stock in the warehouse. This is a high intensity job and my main takeaway from this position is it has helped me develop skills to perform tasks well under pressure.

In this role as an assistant manager I am responsible for dealing with customer queries, loading up trailers and trucks, taking orders, ordering new stock and managing the till. So far this is the job with the most responsibility I have had so far. I have learnt from this job basic money skills stock maintenance and superb customer service.

In this role as a grocery assistant, I was responsible for maintaining stock levels, ordering in new stock, cleaning duties, answering customer queries and creating and maintaining new displays for products on special. I excelled in this role and was able to learn new skills such as communicating with customers, what stock to order swell as how much and when to order it and devising methods to better present the stock we were selling.

During my time in high school I decided it would be worthwhile to get a casual job to learn basic skills that would help my employability while earning some money as well. My duties as an assistant kitchen hand included, preparing food for customers, cleaning dishes and equipment assisting in any other tasks that needed completion. This was my first job, I made some friends that I still see even now and learnt some valuable skills that will help my to build my employability skills.
